In order to get listed at RemoteMethods, you should understand that there are two
types of listings in our directory.
- Web Service Listings – the name of the Web Service and a description
of its features. Use the "Web Service Listing Form," to request this type of listing.
- Pricing Plan Listings - the name of the Service Provider, usage
fees, and trial information. Use the "Pricing Plan Listing Form," to request this type of listing.
If you are an Service Provider and want to list your Web Service in
our directory, you should take the following approach:
- First check our directory to see if the Web Service itself is already
listed. The easiest way to do this is to search for the name of the Web Service.
Just type the keywords into the search box at the top of the page.
- If you find the Web Service named in our directory, then you do not need to request
a Web Service Listing. All you have to do is request a Pricing Plan Listing under
the current listing. For more information on "Adding a Pricing Plan Listing," click here.
- If you could not find the Web Service name in our directory, then you need to
start by requesting a Web Service Listing. Please see the following section on
"Submitting a Web Service Listing."

Submitting a Web Service Listing | |
|
- You need to start by finding a directory where your Web Service
best fits. The easiest way to find a relevant directory is to search for a couple
keywords like a competing Web Service name, or some descriptive terms. Just use the
search box at the top of the page. Hopefully by doing this, you will find other related
Web Services and see which directories they are listed under (directories are shown
directly above each Web Service Listings in the search results).
- If you cannot find a relevant directory to list
your Web Service, you can either find the closest one or you can just submit it
from our homepage. In either case, you will be given the option to
recommend a new directory during the submission process.
- Now from the directory that you have chosen, go
to the bottom of the page and click on the "Submit a Web Service Listing" link.
- The first part of the Web Service Listing Form
gathers information about the company providing the service... company name, address,
phone number, mission statement, and other optional details.
- The second part of the Web Service Listing Form
gathers information about the new Web Service itself... the name of the
Web Service, a description, and the name of the Developer/Maker.
- The third and last part of the Web Service Listing
Form gathers information about your Pricing Plans... the name of the pricing
plan, service fees, setup fees, and trial information.
- That’s it. Once submitted, you
should hear back from us within 5 working days via email.
